About this tool

This is a focused tool for one question that turns out to be surprisingly fiddly: how much paid time off do I actually have, and how did it get there? Most calculators online answer with a single number. We wanted the work shown — a period-by-period ledger you can read, print, and trust.

Why we built it

The existing options each handle a slice of the problem — one method, one pay frequency, no caps, no carryover, and no mention of the state rules that decide what an unused balance is worth. Switching between them, none of which agree, is its own headache. Putting every accrual method, the caps and carryover logic, and a state-aware payout view in one fast, free page is the whole reason this site exists.

How we keep it accurate

Accuracy is the point of a tool like this, so the calculation logic is built as a single tested module with explicit checks on the cases that trip people up — biweekly versus semimonthly, the two kinds of cap, rounding drift across a full year. Anything touching the law is treated as educational and pointed back to authoritative sources rather than stated as fact.

Who runs it

Worklifted Technologies publishes this site as a standalone, self-funded project. Nothing here asks you to register or share an email, and the math happens on your device.
